The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; (Prov. 11:30)
Happy is the man that finds wisdom….. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her. (Prov. 3:13, 18)
Could it be that the Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden was the fruit of God’s righteousness made available to man? It was His wisdom which gives all that man needs for successful living.
(Wisdom) Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honor. (Prov. 3:16)
Sadly, Adam chose to eat from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Death was the result. Wisdom, length of days and riches and honor were lost. What if Adam had eaten of the Tree of Life?
The righteous eats to the satisfying of his soul: but the belly of the wicked shall want. (Prov. 13:25)
The fruit of the Righteous is a tree of life, but Adam didn’t eat of that tree.
In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death. (Prov. 12:28)
Adam allowed death to enter into the human race. But Jesus (the Righteous One) has brought life.
For if by one man’s offense death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. (Rom. 5:17)
The Tree of Life is once again available to men! The fruit of the Righteous is Life! We can partake of the tree that Adam never partook of.
And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. (Rom. 8:10)
